Former RNLI Lifeboat Tillie Morrison Sheffield ON 851

Tillie Morrison Sheffield is a former RNLI Lifeboat stationed in Bridlington from 1947 until 1953, then at Llandudno from 1953 until 1959. Tillie is the only remaining early wooden Llandudno motor lifeboat. In June 2014, following a public appeal for financial help, Ships' Timbers saved Tillie from being broken up. This is Tillie's unfolding story from lifeboat to fishing vessel, her near destruction in Hartlepool, and current restoration.

Welcome to the Ships' Timbers Blog about our historic Lifeboat Tillie Morrison Sheffield, ON 851.

On Tuesday 12th April, 2022, we will be moving Tillie from Deganwy Marina to a new location in Llandudno, that is to Bodafon Farm Park.

We will post here with an update about how we progress through the day.
